Committee Structures
The Institute is presently engaged in a re-organisation and this will be shown on the website in due course.
There are four main operating divisions within the Institute, each with sub-groups and reporting committees where appropriate.
NDT & CM Technical
The Technical Committees are responsible for the Institute's technical activities including conferences, seminars and its wide-ranging publications.
Membership, Qualification & Education
The MQ&E Committee is responsible for all membership registration matters as well as education, CPD, liaison with the Engineering Council and accreditation of training. The Committee has three sub-groups: Engineering Council Working Group, Accreditation Panel and Education Group.
Industry
The Industry Group is the broad representative body for the Institute's Associate (company) members.
Certification Services Committees
Certification of NDT personnel remains a very active, growing and evolving area of activity for the Institute.
Meetings frequency
The Institute's calendar is divided into four quarters, with each of the four main committees meeting once per quarter, within a period of four weeks, shortly followed by the Finance & Strategic Policy Committee meeting. A full report covering all relevant aspects of the work of the committees is then prepared for the subsequent Council meeting.
