Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
CPD is assuming increasing importance, not only as a way to keep up to
date with the technology and practice in your specialisation, but as a
way for employers to assess candidates for a job.
NDT education and training is promoted through the Institute’s seminar
and conference programme, its publications, through its nationwide
Branches, and through its company members, universities, colleges and
accredited training organisations. The Institute also sponsors NDT
modules for inclusion in BTEC examinations and encourages the teaching
of NDT within engineering degree courses.
NVQ courses in NDT are under active development.
The Personal Log Book has been specifically designed to record all
aspects of your career in NDT - education, training, employment,
experience and CPD. This re-designed Institute publication is now
available in A4 and A5 formats. Both versions are supplied in a quality
binder and include copies of PCN’s CP16 and CP17 documents for which a
3 year free updating service is also available.
