MPI and dye pen

Established in 1938, Johnson and Allen Ltd will be using Materials Testing 2009 to market its ranges of MPI and dye penetrant testing and inspection systems.

A highlight of the display will be a demonstration of the latest resonance inspection techniques supplied by Johnson and Allen’s associate company Vibrant NDT Ltd which enable users to inspect for multiple defect types in a single test which takes seconds and uses no chemicals. Process compensated resonance testing (PCRT) is also suitable for life monitoring of components and can predict failure.

Based in Sheffield, the parent company Johnson and Allen also offers calibration of MPI equipment and claims to be the only UKAS-accredited calibration lab in the UK for this purpose.
