Established in 1901, National Physical Laboratory will be using Materials Testing 2009 to market its ranges of expertise in the field of materials testing.
A highlight of the display will be a demonstration of the digital image correlation which enables operators to use a full-field optical technique for measuring strain and deformation.
NPL is looking to develop and apply this technique for monitoring large engineering structures for cracking and for the purposes of structural health monitoring.
