BINDT Aerospace Forum 2013

Following the success of the first Aerospace Forum in 2011, the BINDT Aerospace Committee is holding another Forum in April 2013 at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Coventry. The aim is to cover topics relevant to the industry, identified through discussions with the membership.


The Aerospace Forum will have two main topics. The first day will concentrate on reducing the burden of NDT and in particular will consider the automation of both data acquisition and evaluation. The second day will cover qualification and validation of NDT techniques. Both days will involve a selection of talks and time to discuss specific topics.

Day 1. Thursday 11 April 2013
  • Reducing the burden of NDT/Automation
  • BINDT Aerospace Group AGM
  • Discussion – Use of automated defect detection in NDT
  • Tour of MTC
Day 2. Friday 12 April 2013
  • Validation and qualification of techniques and technologies
  • Discussion – Validation versus capability quantification
