Trade Group

The Trade Group of the Institute consists of companies which manufacture equipment or provide services to the many and diverse industries involved in non-destructive testing, condition monitoring and other materials testing disciplines. Its aims are to promote and advance the science and practice of materials testing through the supply of equipment, accessories and other items used in quality testing.

Membership of this group is open to one person nominated by each Associate member company. At its AGM an Executive Committee is elected from nominees provided by the Trade Group membership to control its affairs and to represent its members' views and opinions to the Institute's Council. The BINDT owns the Materials Testing Exhibition and one of the major activities of the Trade Group is to organise this biennial exhibition.
