InnoTecUK is a dynamic and fast-growing robotics design and consultancy company based in Cambridge, UK. The company specialises in next-generation NDT crawling robots that can operate safely and efficiently in hazardous or difficult working environments, providing cost-effective inspection and access solutions to industries such as aerospace, oil & gaspower generation, transport and maritime.

Role:

InnoTecUK is looking for a highly professional and determined NDT knowledge-based Product/Business Development Manager for this two-fold job opportunity. The ideal person will have a strong understanding of NDT techniques and oversee the integration of NDT systems with InnoTecUK’s robotic applications, whilst focusing on building strong customer relationships through technical outreach.

Candidates must have proven proficiency in collaborating with clients and engineers in order to provide proficient technical support to customers, from site inspectors to technical managers. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the key requirements of differing NDT techniques and inspection operational environments, where automated and robotic inspection solutions can be applied.

They will participate in business development activities through exhibitions, presentations and technical meetings with customers, understand a client’s inspection requirements and propose automated and robotic inspection and access solutions to maximise the client’s business. An accurate understanding and translation of customer requirements to the company’s product development team is paramount, as the successful candidate will be working with engineers at a technical level to guide them through integration challenges.

InnoTecUK’s product development team specialises in robotic and automation subsystem design, therefore a reasonable understanding/experience of working with robotic NDT systems is essential. The successful candidate will work with engineers in the development of excellent robotic inspection solutions. This is a great opportunity to become involved in building market-changing bespoke-driven products and lead the product team through the integration of NDT equipment to robotic platforms, thus achieving product goals.

This is an ideal role to progress within high-end product sales and management, providing an opportunity to create and maintain innovative processes, working from fairly loose requirements, set a direction for the team and devise solutions.

Desirable skills:
  • An understanding of automation and robotic solutions for inspection
  • Reasonable understanding of hardware used in off-shelf NDT equipment.
