The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of NDT fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI) on all manufactured parts, working to efficient standards in a safe and timely manner.
Principal accountabilities:
  • Perform in-process quality checks ensuring products comply with the relevant specifications
  • Perform non-destructive inspections on all components as identified by data card and/or customer specification, using dye penetrant and UV light methods
  • Maintain test equipment and ensure that it is in calibration, taking appropriate action if not
  • Prepare parts for penetrant inspection in line with relevant procedures
  • Inspect, evaluate and sentence products in line with customer specifications
  • Maintain the working environment to the expected levels of housekeeping at all times
  • Responsible for general administration and upkeep of departmental documentation, including completing/updating all in-process documentation and systems as required, for example EFACs
  • Behave in a way that is consistent with the organisation’s competencies and the expectations for the role
  • Comply with organisational policies, procedures and working practices
  • Comply with company health & safety standards
  • Carry out any other duties as deemed appropriate for the role.
The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:
  • The ability to interpret standards and specifications
  • Current PT Level 2 certification to EN 4179/NAS 410. Certification must be maintained through examination
  • An understanding of materials technology within an aerospace environment.
