An established and respected business with over a 70-year history providing bespoke metal finishing services of the highest quality standards is recruiting for an NDT Inspector (Level 2).

The role:
A position has become available for an NDT Inspector, preferably Level 2 qualified (or suitably experienced candidates will be considered), who will competently and confidently support the daily planning, coordination and control of NDT-specific manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for safe production of customer-supplied products through the department and ensure production rates are adhered to at the right cost and at the right level of quality and ensure that the products conform to the required specifications and standards.

Candidates must have proven experience in the following key elements:

  • Reading engineering drawings
  • Remaining compliant to all of the required Level 2 certification
  • Ensuring that all work and activities follow health & safety guidelines at all times
  • Aiding the department to secure monthly production and sales targets and budgets
  • Reviewing customer requirements/specifications against route cards
  • Ensuring production progress in the department is recorded via the FactoryMaster MRP system
  • Following production priorities as given by Supervisor or Deputy
  • Making sure customer products are produced on time and are of exceptional quality
  • Participating in customer meetings as required.
  • Monitoring product standards and implementing quality control as given by QA, including corrective actions
  • Liaising among different departments as required
  • Supporting maintenance requirements as directed by supervision
  • Raising concerns/issues that affect the performance of your work and department
  • Promoting best working practices and taking ownership workplace organisation of designated area
  • Representing the business in a professional and ethical manner
  • Understanding and fully complying with all company rules and procedures.
  • Temporary tasks may be assigned in order to support the business.
Person specification:
The successful candidate must be either NDT Level 2 qualified or suitably experienced and possess good computer literacy and experience of using MRP Systems, be a good communicator at all levels including customer liaison and able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

Working hours: 
Day shift: Monday to Wednesday: 8 am to 4:30 pm/Thursday and Friday: 8 am to 4 pm (overtime available).
