A leading UK energy provider is seeking experienced inspection technicians to work on power generation assets during 2018 and potentially beyond. Successful candidates must be self-motivated and preferably experienced in working in the power generation sector. The roles require, as a minimum, PCN Level 2D (distinction level for >80% examination score) in Ultrasonic Inspection of Welds (Group 3.1 and 3.2), Magnetic Particle and Penetrant Testing. Versatile technicians are preferred as there are opportunities for personnel holding competence in weld inspection, critical assessment of weld defects, eddy current (wrought products) and phased array. A high standard of reporting is expected, as well as the ability to communicate with engineering staff ranging in seniority. Supervisory experience is also preferable.

It is a requirement of the roles that personnel hold a valid UK Safety Passport and have current confined space training.

Candidates should be eligible to work in the UK, hold a full driving licence and be available for work during March to November 2018.

Successful applicants are required to provide some of their own equipment, including a UT flaw detector, Y6 yoke and a basic set of UT probes. They must also have unrestricted access to a motor vehicle for work purposes.

Remuneration is competitive and will be based on contract length and candidate competence.
Location: Various locations but notionally based out of Swindon or Ferrybridge (West Yorkshire).
