An industry leader in the field of HVAC installations is looking for a Quality Manager. The company’s stretch spans far and wide, working on some milestone projects including Crossrail, Chernobyl and a number of schemes in Sellafield, Cumbria.

This role will provide the successful candidate with a platform on which to build their QA/QC experience further, by working with a team of like-minded individuals that are part of a company that has been in existence for over 130 years.

The Quality Manager will lead a team of compliance engineers, NDE/NDT operators and support staff, providing expert knowledge and guidance on all matters quality related.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Implement, maintain and develop an effective quality management system in compliance with ISO 9001 and other management systems, as required
  • Ensure compliance with Sellafield Engineering Specifications, Technical Specifications and any other specified requirement
  • Build long-term mutually-beneficial relationships with Sellafield Ltd 
  • and clients/suppliers to the Sellafield site
  • Compile monthly reports based on the latest quality management system objectives and measures
  • Investigate non-conformances/customer complaints, closing out the issue in a timely manner, and implement suitable corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Implement and maintain a supply chain activity schedule for all Sellafield projects and allocate resources for any off-site inspections and tests
  • Review and approve supplier documents for the management of quality, as required by Sellafield Ltd
  • Attend quality-related forums/meetings in support of Sellafield Ltd quality improvement initiatives.
In addition to a salary, a car and fuel card will be provided and cash allowances are on offer for those from outside the region.
