Mike was previously Group Managing Director of Sonatest plc from 1989 to 2009, during which time the group grew from a $2m to a $25m business. John was Senior Staff Engineer for Eddy Current NDT at GE Inspection Technologies, St Albans, UK (previously Hocking NDT). John is a valued member of the BINDT Council, Vice Chairman of the BINDT Trade Group Executive and a member of both the Electromagnetic and DICONDE ASTM Committees.
The ETher NDE team has over 150 years of combined NDT knowledge, with many of the team members previously working alongside John at GE and, before that, Hocking NDT.
ETher NDE Ltd focuses on eddy current flaw detectors, conductivity meters, probe design and manufacture, accessories and consultancy.
The Vantage, ETher’s hand-held fully-featured flaw detector, offers true one-hand operation. Able to operate with standard, weld and rotary probes, ETher NDE believes that the Vantage can cover all your inspection needs.
ETher NDE has also introduced its first hand-held, portable EC conductivity meter, the SigmaCheck, and a multi-frequency and multi-channel flaw detector, the ETi-200, to its range.
The ETi-200 is fully programmable with many advanced features. With single-probe operation, the ETi-200 can multiplex eight channels, making it the most flexible portable unit available. Alternatively, with two probes connected, the ETi-200 allows any mix of eight channels across two probes.
Within ETher NDE, a full range of eddy current probes are designed and manufactured, including eddy current weld probes. All probes are manufactured in the UK by expert technicians.
