- Description:
Element Materials Technology (Sheffield) offers laboratory and on-site testing services to meet the requirements of general engineering, aerospace, medical and nuclear standards. The company is able to provide the following inspections:
- Ultrasonic: contact (forgings and welds) and immersion (bars and discs/rings)
- MPI: bench and ring jig
- Dye penetrant: visible, fluorescent (1A2, 1A3, 1D2, 1D3)
- Radiography: gamma and X-ray.
Element also provides metallurgical and mechanical testing, spectrographic analysis, positive material identification, weld procedure and welder qualification testing and statutory examinations of plant and equipment.
Personnel are qualified to PCN/ASNT/NAS 410/BS EN 4179/BS EN 473 requirements and company approvals include Nadcap, UKAS, Rolls-Royce plc, CAA, Dowty, Westland and Cameron.Element Materials Technology (Sheffield) offers:
- NDT consulting services relative to preparation and/or approval of NDT procedures, techniques or data cards
- NDT feasibility assessments
- NDT Level 3 services.
