Description:

Omnia Integrity Ltd provides advanced NDT technologies for the verification of the integrity of assets, with expertise in structural health monitoring (SHM) of bridges and other structures by using acoustic emission systems.
SHM of bridges and buildings can be carried out by means of acoustic emission, a non-destructive testing method that allows the continuous monitoring of such structures for extended periods of time. The main advantages of using acoustic emission are that, unlike other non-destructive testing methods, acoustic emission can detect active cracks, help to detect hidden cracks or cracks in places that are not easy to access and is one of the few non-destructive testing methods appropriate for the continuous monitoring of structures over longer periods of time. The method is also sensitive to several other damage mechanisms and can be applied to many different types of structure and material.
Some of the other technologies Omnia Integrity offers include alternating current field measurement (ACFM), microwave, magnetic rope testing (MRT) and more.
ACFM belongs to the family of electromagnetic techniques that measure the changes that occur in a magnetic field when scanning a surface. This system detects surface cracks without the need to remove anti-corrosion coatings and is applicable both above and below water. Microwave allows the inspection of non-metallic structures, while MRT is used for steel cable inspection. Omnia Integrity provides training and consultancy in advanced NDT technologies and is also a resource for research and development into new NDT solutions.
