Wardray Premise Limited has specialised in the design, manufacture and installation of radiation protection for over 75 years. The company's product range includes lead-ply panelling, lead-lined doors, power-operated shielded doors, lead glass, chevron bricks, protective rooms, inspection cabinets and cubicles.
During the early stages of a project, Wardray Premise can provide advice on the structural radiation shielding design, using either deterministic or Monte Carlo methods. Post installation, the company offers leakage testing, monitoring and certification of facilities for compliance with current legislation and standards.
In addition, Wardray Premise offers 'Premac', a transparent radiation protective acrylic, and 'Premadex', a unique neutron-shielding material. Premac has gained wide acceptance for glovebox windows, screens and so on. Typically, Premadex is used for source storage containers, glovebox shielding, neutron-attenuating doors and wall linings.
