Description:

eTest Ltd has the largest purpose-built NDT facility in the north east of Scotland. Its uniquely designed 1344 m² workshop facility has four bespoke radiography exposure bays. Each of the four large exposure bays is equipped with the latest Gulmay 225 kV X-ray sets and Sentinel gamma ray exposure devices. The company has been set up to ensure that there are no equipment restrictions and limitations when it comes to getting the job done on time and to standard. Other radiographic equipment available to the radiographers are 160 kV CP Phillips, Rigaku 300 kV sets and gamma radiography with Ir-192 and Se-75.

eTest offers ultrasonic inspection, with operators qualified to PCN Level 2, 3.1, 3.2, 3.8, 3.9 and phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT). Technicians with austenitic material angle compression probe testing experience can also be provided.

eTest’s hydrostatic pressure testing facility offers 288 m² of floor space with a maximum pressure rating of 15,000 psi. The testing is controlled and managed by eTest's project engineer, who has over 40 years' experience in pipeline pressure testing.

Surface inspection methods, such as visual inspection, magnetic particle inspection and dye penetrant inspection, both visible and fluorescent, are provided. Ferrite testing, positive material identification (PMI), hardness testing and heat treatment are additional services offered by the company.
