Rei Lux UK Limited provides non-destructive (NDT) structural testing of lighting columns using static load test procedures and equipment that has been developed over 30 years by Rei-Lux Germany.
The test procedure is capable of identifying issues caused by insufficient back-filling around the column, material failure due to corrosion or crack formation, incorrectly fitted or corroded bracket arms and swage-joint or multi-step joint failure.
The test machine applies a static load to accurately simulate the bending moments induced by wind and dead load forces. Software calculates the test load according to BS EN 40 standards and is capable of factoring in the effect of column attachments such as road signs, hanging baskets, banners, CCTV cameras, festive decorations, replacement LED luminaires, etc.
The test system can be used on columns manufactured from steel, aluminium and concrete.
