Description:

Peak NDT Limited specialises in the design, manufacture and support of a range of high-performance ultrasonic instrumentation and associated products for conventional pulse-echo inspection, TOFD, phased array, full matrix capture and other advanced techniques. For over 35 years, Peak NDT’s MicroPulse technology has been used at the forefront of NDT ultrasonic technique development and today the latest variants continue to represent state-of-the-art technology and performance for automated, semi-automated and even manual inspections.

Instrumentation

MicroPulse LT2

Built on the latest MicroPulse technology, the LT2 is a high-performance ultrasonic inspection system ideally suited for pulse-echo/TOFD/immersion requirements. LT2 has up to 8 channels in a small footprint, Power over Ethernet technology, also with Gigabit Ethernet, and includes extended dynamic range modes. It is ideally suited for machine-mounted inspections.

MicroPulse MPLT

The latest in the long-established line of MicroPulses for automated conventional pulse-echo and TOFD inspections, the MPLT uses Power over Ethernet technology, and Gigabit Ethernet for seriously fast data transfer, and includes extended dynamic range modes and up to 48 conventional channels in its standard enclosure.

MicroPulse LTPA

The LTPA provides a high-performance, flexible, compact and rugged ultrasonic inspection system. All LTPAs are enclosed units (no fans) capable of conventional, phased array and FMC acquisition processes. Utilising Power over Ethernet technology and Gigabit Ethernet, the LTPA is ideally suited for all inspection and R&D requirements. It is available in the following configurations: 32/64, 64/64, +64Tx and 64/128, and is easily scaleable with a simple interlink. All units have two conventional channels (pulse-echo or pitch-catch).

MicroPulse 6PA

The MicroPulse 6PA is the next-generation mains-powered phased array instrument. The standard MicroPulse 6PA is a 128/256 phased array system that also provides 12 separate high-performance conventional channels, delivering an extremely capable and flexible instrument. MicroPulse 6PA is an enclosed unit with no external air intakes and is capable of conventional, phased array and FMC acquisition processes. With Gigabit Ethernet, the unit provides seriously fast data transfer to suit all inspection and R&D requirements. Available in the following configurations: 32/64, 64/128 and 128/256, it is easily scaleable with a simple interlink. All units have 12 conventional channels (pulse-echo or pitch-catch).

Software Platforms

Direct access to the open and transparent data format and long-established MicroPulse command language provides an extremely flexible platform for the operator, enabling the user to develop a bespoke solution to meet their inspection requirements. Supplied with the phased array equipment, Peak NDT’s ArrayGen software will get you started, then the choices are yours.

Off-the-shelf user interfaces are available, such as Utex Scientifics' InspectionWare NDT Suite and TWI’s Crystal software platform, which provides an advanced ultrasonic inspection package that enables automated FMC, PWI and VSA inspection. Also compatible with procedure-based platforms, such as MIPS/GUIDE.

Custom applications can be built in a wide range of languages from C# to MatLab or LabView for example. If a bespoke application is what’s required, then using Peak NDT’s Focal Law calculation dll with the transparent data formats and standard sockets make writing custom applications a breeze.
