IMechE Fife NDT is Scotland’s foremost supplier of NDT training, examinations and Level 3 consultancy services.
Part of the IMechE Argyll Ruane family, the company is accredited by major organisations and regulatory bodies and provides training in most NDT methods from Level 1 to Level 3 in internationally recognised and employer-based certification schemes, such as PCN, EN 4179, NAS 410 and SNT-TC-1A.The company provides outstanding training courses that ensure students gain an excellent understanding of core theory and how to apply the latest methods to current standards. Students receive in-depth hands-on practical training from experienced and knowledgeable tutors, each with a wealth of industrial experience. IMechE Fife NDT ensures that all students are fully prepared for their examinations and the company has an excellent pass rate.
It provides training for a wide range of NDT methods, including weld inspection, radiographic interpretation, visual testing, penetrant testing, magnetic particle testing and ultrasonic testing. It is also the only training centre in Scotland to offer the advanced methods of eddy current testing, time-of-flight diffraction (TOFD) and phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT).
IMechE Fife NDT is based in a modern training centre in Dunfermline with excellent facilities, equipment and samples and is easily accessible from the M90 or from Rosyth rail station.Headquartered in Sheffield, but operating locally out of Dunfermline, the Level 3 Services team is regarded as one of the best in the industry and provides NDT support and services to the aerospace, nuclear, oil and gas, petrochemical, medical and automotive industries, to name but a few. Its consultants hold a range of Level 3 certifications across various certification schemes, such as PCN, ASNT, EN 4179/NAS 410 as well as holding customer/regulatory-based approvals, including Rolls-Royce, Airbus, BAE Systems and CAA Form 4 approval.
