Special interest groups

The UKTA is a group representing all the members of BINDT who are interested in thermography. It acknowledges the growing interest in thermography among a wide range of people involved in non-destructive testing and condition monitoring.

The UKTA (UK Thermography Association) is a BINDT special interest group that covers all applications of thermography – that is, uses of infrared imaging in which measurement is important. Membership is encouraged from the following disciplines: electrical, mechanical, building, aerospace, marine engineering, medical and veterinary imaging, research, camera manufacturers, accessory manufacturers, academia, remote sensing and trainers.

For further detailed information about thermography, visit the resource page here.

UKTA activities include conference sessions, seminars, newsletters, books and administration of a directory of practising thermographers available here.

BINDT members who want to join UKTA should simply contact the BINDT Membership Office and ask for the free UKTA membership. New members can opt for UKTA membership at the time of joining.
