FPI Level 2 Inspector

Elevation Recruitment Group currently has a rare opportunity for an FPI 
Level 2 Inspector to join its existing team. The FPI Inspector will be required to conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) using specific techniques on aerospace products.

Responsibilities:

• Review routers, procedures, specifications and any other instructions for completeness and instructions to perform the operation
• Process parts in accordance with procedures and technical instructions
• Set up, calibrate and perform process control checks on equipment by following instructions and recording results
• Generate new/amend NDT data cards for approval by the Level 3
• Interpret, evaluate and report evaluation results as required
• Fill out logs and statistical data sheets as required
• Maintain required job skills and knowledge of requirements (including procedures, specifications, etc)
• Maintain work area and ensure equipment and all documents/records are audit-ready at all times
• Provide on-the-job training to trainees and fellow Level 2 inspectors when required.

Skills and experience:

• Currently or previously held NAS410/BS EN 4179 Level 2 FPI
• Currently or previously held PCN Level 2 FPI
• An aerospace background is desirable.

Hours:

• Current hours of work are: Monday-Friday 6.00 am-2.00 pm/ 2.00 pm-10.00 pm. Once trained this will change to a three-shift pattern.
• There are no current plans to implement a night shift; however, applicants must be prepared to adjust to a three-shift pattern should this change in the future. If this is applied the shift allowance will increase to 17%.
