NDT Inspector / Senior NDT Inspector

• Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) of pipeline girth welds made for welding development and procedure qualification programmes
• Perform various NDT methods such as phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT), time-of-flight diffraction (TOFD), ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MT) and liquid penetrant testing
• Interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards and specifications
• Prepare detailed reports on the findings and results of inspections
• Coordinate day-to-day requirements for inspection with GWDC staff and subcontractors
• Interface with NDT subcontractors as required to ensure that all examinations are completed in a timely manner
• Collaborate with welding engineers and quality assurance/quality control teams to address any identified issues
• Maintain and calibrate NDT equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  
  

Required experience:

• PCN Level 2: UT, MT, PT, TOFD and PAUT (radiographic interpretation experience is preferred)
• Assumes accountability for the delivery of allocated inspection activities
• Communicates effectively and articulately at all levels, internally and externally
• Demonstrates good analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Proactively makes suggestions for improvements to systems and procedures
• Shows commitment to self-improvement, education and development.
