A leading aerospace company is looking to add an NDT Level 2 Operator to its existing team to provide a positive contribution to its manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in aerospace fabrication and component manufacturing and have a keen eye for detail.

The NDT Level 2 Operator will be responsible for carrying out independent NDT of products and will be trained to a recognised national standard (National Aerospace NDT Board (NANDTB) Level 2 in fluorescent penetrant testing and X-ray inspection).

  • Reading, interpreting and understanding drawings, work cards, specifications and other relevant technical documents
  • Writing NDT data cards/work instructions
  • Completion of all internal and external documentation relevant to the inspection/testing of a product or process, for example work cards, inspection reports, first article inspection reports, non-conformance reports, etc
  • Identification and documentation of non-conforming products or processes
  • Liaising with production personnel and supervision where required to feedback information relating to tested products
  • Identification and communication of improvements to processes or procedures identified during the performance of testing activities
  • Active involvement in continuous improvement activities related to inspection activities
  • Working in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Where required, involvement with the investigation into the root cause of non-conforming products and the implementation of corrective and preventative action
  • NDT Level 2 Certification (PCN or EN 4179/NAS 410 (radiographic and liquid dye penetrant testing)).
