An NDT Operations Manager is sought to join a well-established non- destructive testing (NDT) company based in Barnsley.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day assisting of the business, including the management of staff and planning and scheduling of work.
Working with a range of clients, including those in sectors such as gas, foundry, manufacturing and more, this role offers a great opportunity for an Operations Manager to join a well-established team specialising in the NDT of components from around the world.Role and responsibilities:- Day-to-day assisting of the business, including management of staff
- Reviewing and working to industry-related specifications and standards
- Holding responsibility for the production of techniques generated
- Communicating with customers and other third parties regarding delivery dates and scheduling
- Liaising with directors and the management team as necessary.
Requirements:- Certificated to PCN (ISO 9712) Level 3 in radiography castings and welds
- Willing to undertake further training to the company’s written practice (SNT-TC-1A)
- Other NDT qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential
- Candidates certificated to PCN Level 2 in radiography castings and welds will also be considered
- Previous experience of radiographic examination production and interpretation
- The ability to work to deadlines and achieve a great service/turnaround to meet customer requirements
- Experience using both overhead cranes and fork trucks would be advantageous but is not essential.
Benefits:- A salary of £35,000 to £45,000, depending on experience
- Monday to Friday, 8.00 am-4.00 pm.
- No weekend working
- On-site parking
- Overtime availability.
