Summary:
Parker Meggitt is looking to add an NDT X-ray Machine Operator to its team. This opportunity would suit someone who has the necessary skill set and experience to join the team based in Loughborough. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the relevant skills and experience, although training will be provided as required to the successful candidate.Responsibilities:
- Specific X-ray responsibilities will include setting up and calibrating equipment, as well as maintaining administration records
- Undertaking daily/weekly health and safety checks
- Selecting the appropriate technique for the non-destructive testing (NDT) method to be performed
- Preparing written instructions and techniques for NDT inspection
- Understanding NDT standards and specifications and translating them into working instructions
- Interpreting and evaluating results in relation to accepted standards and specifications
- Organising and reporting test results
- Clearly identifying defective products and producing reports as required
- Involvement with internal, customer and authority audits
- Updating and maintaining the company booking systems
- Involvement in continuous improvement programmes.
Requirements:- Experience of performing radiographic testing
- Level 1 or 2 qualifications in non-film radiography, either EN 4179 or SNT-TC-1A
- The ability to demonstrate an excellent attitude to health and safety, along with quality assurance
- Be an excellent team player, self-motivated and have good communication skills
- Involvement in continuous improvement programmes.
