Round House Limited is an engineering and fabrication company with over 55 years’ experience helping its customers in industries such as agriculture, sport, offshore, wind energy and oil & gas. The company is looking for a QA/QC Engineer to join its growing team.

Round House Limited is currently going through a period of change to improve customer focus and be considered best in class.

Working closely with the production teams and reporting directly to the Production Managers, the ideal candidate will be required to have a dynamic approach towards the following:

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintaining current QA/QC procedures and setting up and running new QA/QC procedures
  • Liaising with welding engineers, tradespeople, project engineers and production managers in relation to documentation submission and QA/QC requirements
  • Advising on material certification, welding, NDT and any other quality requirements to ensure traceability is maintained
  • Operating and encouraging 5S and the SQDC principles of lean manufacturing, ensuring compliance with the company’s health & safety policy
  • Continuously reviewing operational processes within the production area to assess for areas of improvement
  • Assisting with the packaging and loading of jobs for delivery
  • Preparing quality documentation and reports by collecting and analysing information, including failure processes and corrective actions taken
  • Ensuring that quality control and check sheets are out at every stage and signed off
  • Overseeing the tradespeople self-inspection process to maintain consistently high standards.
Skills and attributes required:
  • A self-starter who shows initiative and is able to work independently and is willing to take on responsibilities and challenges
  • A confident ability to communicate at all levels and to convey information effectively
  • Good engineering and QA/QC background focused on fabrication
  • Good data entry skills
  • Forklift truck licence (not essential)
  • The ability to read and understand technical/isometric drawings
  • Fully proficient with Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel, for creating new QA/QC procedures
  • The desire to deliver a world-class service to customers
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Understanding of fabrication, welding and NDT techniques
  • Good communication/writing skills
  • Background in the oil & gas or petrochemical fabrication industry
  • An understanding of ISO 9001:2015.

Working hours: Monday-Friday: 07:00 am-4:00 pm; however, employees must be flexible as per business requirements.
