Job details:
A well-established global manufacturer of power generation/combustion equipment to a variety of industries including petrochemical, power stations, oil & gas, etc, is seeking a a talented QHSE Welding Manager to join its successful team. The company’s market-leading comprehensive product range includes thermal oxidisers, burners, flare systems and pollution control equipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for quality control/testing of welds, in addition to developing and maintaining the quality, health & safety and environmental management procedures of the hiring company to ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001.

The role will involve:
  • NDT and weld inspection
  • Quality control of fabrication
  • HSE/risk assessments on sites
  • Taking responsibility for quality, health, safety and environment management (QHSE) within the organisation
  • Continuous improvement
  • Internal and external audits
  • Quality control and inspection of manufactured equipment
  • Preparation and sign-off of project final inspection release certificates, inspection test plans (ITP) and inspection and test procedures
  • Managing a small team.

The candidate:
The successful candidate will be a talented QHSE/quality professional with experience within a manufacturing/fabrication environment allied to the desire, ability and confidence to forge a career within a market-leading organisation.

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of engineering and fabrication inspection techniques
  • Experience of NDT and weld inspection
  • Qualified visual weld inspector/CSWIP
  • QHSE experience in engineering
  • Good engineering knowledge
  • Excellent communicator at all levels
  • Live within an hour of the office
  • Comfortable with travel
  • Knowledge of structural steel and pipework fabrication, CE marking, Pressure Equipment Directive (2014/68/EU) and 
ISO 3834
  • American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) certification.
