A company operating in a variety of markets, including oil & gas and power generation, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join on a permanent basis. This may be an opportunity for a Junior Quality Engineer or Inspector with experience in welding to take the next step in their career.


  • Ensure that the product quality complies with the QMS, processes and regulator requirements and propose immediate corrective actions for issues
  • Facilitate quality clinics within manufacturing, ensuring the learning from NCRs, audits and performance is embedded using continuous improvement tools
  • Implement quality milestones that meet OTD objectives
  • Perform internal auditing to identify risk and propose corrective actions for improvement
  • Provide technical and regulatory knowledge, including ASME and BPV codes.

Experience required:

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Any experience in internal auditing or with ISO 9001
  • Ideally an HNC/HND or apprenticeship, or a foundation degree
  • Knowledge of welding processes and non-destructive testing
  • Root cause analysis and corrective action and preventative tools
  • An able user of the Microsoft package, ie Excel, Word, Outlook, etc
  • Able to gather data to compile information and prepare reports
  • Willing to learn and develop.
