The company is currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector – NDT.

  • Providing a radiography inspection service utilising both X-ray and gamma equipment in accordance with statutory regulation and company procedures
  • Supporting the delivery of technical assessments using appropriate methodologies
  • Contributing to the development and validation of new radiography inspection processes
  • Participating in experimental trials, improvement activities and audits, where appropriate
  • Maintaining and developing specialist knowledge through continuous professional development (CPD), technical press, suppliers and communities of practice (CoP)
  • Completion of product or service reports and certification
  • Completion of route cards, non-conformities, concessions and work permits
  • Engagement with relevant customers and stakeholders.
Of particular interest are individuals with some experience in the provision of a radiography inspection service in a manufacturing environment, having served either a recognised engineering apprenticeship or possessing relevant experience and qualifications in NDT.

Some knowledge and/or experience of the following is expected:

  • Developing and applying radiography inspection techniques in order to confirm design requirements
  • Radiography inspection practices, interpretation of resulting imagery in accordance with detailed requirements, the safe use of X-ray and gamma equipment and setting up of components/assemblies
  • Working knowledge of the Ionising Radiations Regulations
  • Awareness of modern radiography technology – direct radiography, computed radiography and computed tomography
  • Basic quality tools and world-class manufacturing
  • Problem resolution and continuous improvement tools and techniques.
Full-time or part-time hours will be considered.
