An exciting opportunity is available for a mechanically trained person to join one of the UK’s leading-brand manufacturers as a Reliability Technician.

Working within the Reliability Team, the successful candidate will be part of an important asset management programme within the business.

This Monday to Friday day-shift role will be based in the Rugby area.

The role:
This heavy industry manufacturer has a large maintenance team supported by a strong asset management department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a variety of mechanical testing and analysis on all the equipment on site, ensuring preventative solutions are employed before serious mechanical failure occurs.

Duties will include:
  • Condition-based monitoring
  • Vibration analysis
  • Oil analysis
  • Thermography
  • NDT, ie ultrasonic, magnetic particle and dye penetrant tests
  • Wear monitoring.

As part of the company’s preventative maintenance strategy, duties may also include:

  • Lubrication
  • Routine component replacement
  • Routine running checks.

The candidate:

The ideal candidate will have a background utilising mechanical maintenance skills within a manufacturing environment and will preferably have some form of mechanical qualification (an apprenticeship is ideal although not a necessity).

The successful candidate will have previously carried out reliability tasks (condition-based monitoring / reliability-centred maintenance, vibration analysis, etc).

Knowledge around NDT testing techniques would be ideal although training is offered. NDT experienced candidates with PCN certification will have a distinct advantage (Level 2 ideally).

As reporting is a key part of the analysis process, candidates will be required to proficiently use various MS Office programs, including Word, Excel and Access.

The benefits:
  • Day shift: Monday-Thursday, 8.00 am to 4.30 pm (3.30 on Friday); 39 hours per week
  • Salary: up to £38,000, including support to occasional call-out and shutdowns
