Repair Design Engineer

A Repair Design Engineer is sought to lead and deliver structural repair solutions for in-service aircraft. The successful candidate will have the chance to work on cutting-edge aerospace projects and make a real impact on safety and reliability. This role will allow the right candidate to work on world-class aircraft programmes within a culture of innovation, collaboration and growth.

The role:

• Assess and resolve structural damage requests from global customers
• Author and release structural repair instructions for minor and major repairs
• Provide expert technical support and innovative repair solutions
• Liaise with customers and stakeholders to ensure timely, efficient service
• Develop generic repair procedures to improve fleet performance.
• Engage with design organisations to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of aircraft structures (composites)
• Expertise in structural repair principles and materials
• Familiarity with Airbus drawings/specifications and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Airbus IT tools are a plus
• Autonomous, organised and a great team player with a strong customer focus
• RTE delegation and A400M experience is desirable.
