The Safety, Technical and Engineering (STE) function of Network Rail is offering an opportunity for a talented individual to enhance their engineering skills as a Senior Engineer within the STE Technical Authority Wheel and Rail Management Team.

This team provides technical guidance, leadership specialising in the wheel and rail interface, rail profile management (lubrication, milling and grinding), welding, risk management, non-destructive testing (NDT) and rail metallurgy.

This exciting role will be for non-destructive testing specifically and lead on the technical authority strategy for identifying and delivering NDT 'state of the art' technology. Along with this, you will have the opportunity to influence policy and guidance through standards development and implementation to develop the NDT competency framework for Network Rail and influence the way we manage and inspect our rail infrastructure.

The successful candidate would be knowledgeable in non-destructive testing and we welcome candidates from all industry sectors.
