A Sheet Metal Worker is sought to for an established non-destructive testing (NDT) capital equipment manufacturer located in South Yorkshire. The company is a renowned name within its sector, specialising in the manufacture of equipment associated with magnetic particle and dye penetrant inspections, with a diverse market presence in many sectors, including aerospace, rail and oil & gas.
The role:
The role is for an experienced sheet metal worker to work in a busy fabrication shop to produce both standard and bespoke equipment used in the NDT sector. This will encompass all aspects of fabrication, including metal inert gas (MIG) and tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding (typically 1.5 mm- to 10 mm-thick material), marking out, drilling and tapping to close tolerances and operating associated fabrication equipment.Experience required (essential):- MIG and TIG welding of stainless steel and mild steel
- Working with stainless steel to a high-quality finish
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Experience of operating guillotines and bending machines
- Basic maths and problem-solving skills.

- A team player with the ability to work independently and to work to tight deadlines under pressure, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Benefits:- The role pays £14 per hour and includes a discretionary bonus along with continued support throughout
