An Operations Supervisor’s role is to manage inspection services of TeamFurmanite and its clients on site throughout the UK and the world. The position exists to join a multi-disciplined inspection team who are deployed within our client base to ensure that plant and equipment manufactured at our facilities meets business, customer and regulatory requirements.

As Operations Supervisor you will oversee all NDT operations at both TEAM locations and our clients locations while ensuring that all aspects of the contract are delivered to the client's satisfaction, whilst ensuring all safety standards are met and quality is maintained. This is a full time role (37.5 hours per week).

  • Responsible for HSQE initiatives and alignment with the company's HSQE Strategy
  • Operational responsibility for service delivery of NDT services
  • Operational responsibility for the safety of NDT personnel both on Team and client sites
  • Operational responsibility for the day-to-day management of all NDT personnel
  • Ensure compliance with all company and statutory procedures and standards at all times
  • Ensure project quality control inspection procedures are adhered to and are in line the company quality management system
  • Be the operational focal point and liaison between the client and company regarding the delivery of work
  • Responsible for identifying and verifying the timely deployment of the agreed resources
  • Responsible for monitoring and verifying that the agreed project deliverables are delivered to schedule
  • Monitoring and ensuring KPIs are challenged and achieved
  • Development and the management of the client contract(s) to achieve profit objectives while achieving optimum gross margins while maintaining  control of expenditure
  • Promoting the company's range of services and reviewing performance against agreed objectives/targets
  • Reviewing, implementing and improving financial and project management control mechanisms
  • Facilitating and encouraging professional development in line with continuous improvement measures of NDT technicians
  • Promoting integrated relationship with clients
  • Sourcing new client opportunities.


  • Significant NDT experience at a senior level
  • Current or expired ISO 9712:2012 NDT qualifications
  • Must have a sound knowledge of the fabrication process and can demonstrate an understanding of the key inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT) methodologies and their application
  • Technical apprenticeship or BTEC equivalent
  • Project management experience
  • Must have the right to live and work in the UK.


  • ECITB Safety leadership and IOSH and COSHH
  • Experience of managing/supervising staff
  • Overall responsibility for the performance and discipline of all shop- and site-based staff
  • Ensuring that there is a succession plan in place
  • Carrying out PPR and performance review in line with company procedures
  • Communicating corporate and contract goals to all team members
  • Managing the development of personnel.
