As a UKAS inspection body and recognised third party, Ultramag offers welding qualification procedures, welder qualification tests and the issuing of full documentation to ISO 15619, ISO 15614, ISO 9609, EN 287, BS 4872, ASME IX and AWS D1.1. It has recently received UKAS accreditation for fracture testing, bend testing, macro examination, positive material identification, ferrite testing and magnetic permeability testing to ISO 17020.

Ultramag Inspection Services has acquired a new building from which the mechanical testing, material evaluation, welding technology and shipping department will operate. Its non-destructive testing, pressure testing and large radiographic enclosure remains at Marchwood for all in-house testing. Site testing is offered at any location, nationally and overseas.

Personnel are qualified to PCN, SNT, ACCP, AWS, NAS 410, EN 4179 and CSWIP. Ultramag Inspection Services has LR, RINA, BV, DNV-GL and ABS approvals for ultrasonic thickness surveys. Client approvals are held for aerospace work. The major industries covered are structural steelwork, pipelines, marine, aerospace, defence, wind turbines, bridges, material stockists, pressure pipework and vessels, automotive and general fabrications and machining.
