An NDT Level 2 Operative is sought to perform a range of NDT/production tasks and operate and maintain a variety of production equipment within an aerospace environment.

Job description:

  • Perform a range of NDT tasks for production and operate associated NDT equipment, as well as material handling equipment and other miscellaneous equipment
  • Carry out predefined daily, weekly and monthly NDT control checks in order to maintain an effective NDT process
  • Complete troubleshooting while operating equipment, including performing and documenting limited preventative maintenance
  • Monitor, measure and record NDT data, including, but not limited to, dimensions and weight, as well as other NDT-specific information.
Essential skills, experience and qualifications required:
  • Formally trained to approved NDT Level 2 standard to comply with EN 4179
  • Trained to comply with the following internal procedures: AWPS 240 – Radiography and assessment and AWPS 13 – Fluorescent penetrant inspection
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, including graticules, calipers, depth gauges, micrometers and other measuring equipment, as necessary
  • Have the ability to read and comply with various instructions, routings, drawings and procedures.
Desirable skills, experience and qualifications required:
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Solid oral and written communication skills
  • Apprenticeship, or the equivalent experience, in a related field.
