The Practitioner Committee of the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT) is inviting nominations to be considered for the 2019 Practitioner Award. The Practitioner Award recognises an individual’s outstanding achievement in the learning, sharing or execution of NDT or CM practice and is open to any BINDT member at Affiliate grade or higher who is showing exceptional performance in their NDT/CM duties. This may include displaying a consistently high standard of performance in a specific job through service, loyalty, ethics and client satisfaction, having the potential to develop their depth or breadth of NDT/CM competence, altruism in acting as a mentor or leader of junior or less experienced colleagues or associates and/or contribution to a specific project that has yielded technical and/or financial benefits for the employer or organisation.

If you are a paying BINDT member, or if this applies to your organisation, and you are willing to bear testimony concerning a worthy candidate, you are invited to produce a short citation, supported by evidence of the individual’s outstanding performance, and submit it to the Practitioner Committee for consideration. All nominations will enter a selection process where the Committee will carefully consider each application, produce a shortlist and finally decide on the most worthy recipient of this year’s award.
