Formerly the National Aerospace and Defence Contractors Accreditation Program,  Nadcap is a global cooperative standards-setting programme for aerospace engineering, defence and related industries. Fact file: Optical emission spectroscopy explained

Apprenticeships are a way to develop core skills in new staff members, as well as being flexible enough to be tailored to a specific job role. Apprenticeships are an excellent way to encourage learning and development of a wide range of skills in many different environments. The talk will cover the many benefits of investing in apprenticeship positions within companies and how they help to shape young people’s learning experience,

Real story: The weird and wonderful world of a JP

Magistrates or Justices of the Peace are volunteers who hear cases in courts in their community. Their role is vital to combating crime within local communities. No legal background is necessary but, with training, JPs will preside in a court and make decisions on sentences. In fact, over 90% of all criminal cases are dealt with by magistrates. The talk will include personal experiences and details of the training required for the role,
