Award criteria
Purpose: Awarded to the NDT Engineering Technician apprentice achieving an excellent result at their end-point assessment in the year in question.
Details of the award: A certificate, £100 cash and an invitation to the NDT or CM Annual Conference Dinner with one night’s accommodation.
Eligibility: A BINDT apprentice who has achieved an excellent result at their end-point assessment in the year in question.
Nomination arrangements: The winner will be selected using the EPA scoring system.

2025/2026 winner: Antony Mangena
The NDT Engineering Technician of the Year Award for 2025/2026 has been won by Antony Mangena.
Antony is very proud to have completed his Level 3 NDT apprenticeship, during which he has enjoyed learning new skills and growing in confidence in his job
role.
Antony has learned four disciplines of non-destructive testing (NDT) since he first started in this area, with radiography being his favourite. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing and watching football, Formula One, going to the driving range and walking.
He is excited to be building on what he has learned already and is exploring new methods of NDT to progress in his career.
