Steve Meikle’s charitable success

As a charity, BINDT is always keen to acknowledge the supreme efforts of its members when performing for the benefit of worthy charitable causes. Steve Meikle completed both Tough Mudder North West and the Great North Run over a single weekend. The Tough Mudder event on the Saturday was really enjoyable, although some of the injuries that Steve endured and the effort he had put in were not evident until he took part in the Great North Run! Sunday was not pleasant; time was slow and his legs felt like concrete by mile nine. However, he did finish, the challenge is complete and he has raised a total of £4252.10 for St Cuthbert’s Hospice in Durham. Steve wishes to pass on his thanks to everyone who donated. The support he has received made the pain on Sunday bearable. Steve is planning next year’s charity event, which will be vastly different to what he has completed this year and even more of a challenge!
