Founded in 2020, ITS has grown from a small specialist inspection provider into a multi-service organisation supporting major clients in offshore renewables, oil & gas, manufacturing, fabrication and heavy industry. Over the past five years, the company has experienced a substantial increase in both project delivery and training activity, driven by the expansion of offshore wind projects, infrastructure development and the need for high-quality inspection services across multiple sectors.
ITS has also developed a strong reputation for rapid mobilisation and technical expertise, enabling it to secure long-term partnerships with national and international clients. The company now delivers services across the UK and Europe, with increasing demand emerging from global energy markets.
Located in a strategic industrial hub, the facility positions ITS at the heart of one of Scotland’s key energy and manufacturing regions, supporting collaboration with local businesses, supply chains and training partners.
George Shields, Director at ITS, commented: “This is a hugely exciting step for ITS. The new facility allows us to operate more efficiently, expand our service offering and welcome clients and suppliers into a professional environment that reflects the standard of work we deliver. It also gives us the foundation we need for the next stage of our growth.”
The expansion also supports job creation, with ITS confirming that the move has already generated additional technical and support roles, including inspection technicians and administrative positions to support consultancy delivery and operations. Further recruitment is expected as the company continues to scale its services.
“Our success is very much built on the expertise of our team and the trust of our clients and suppliers,” George added. “We are proud of how far we have come and this continued investment reinforces our long-term commitment to the local area, the community and the industries we serve.”
In addition to supporting employment, ITS plans to expand its advanced inspection provision programmes from the new facility. This will further strengthen the local skills base and support workforce development within both the renewables and engineering sectors.
An Open Day is planned for early 2026, with clients, suppliers and industry stakeholders invited to view the facility, meet the team and learn more about the company’s expanded capabilities.
