Project Engineer

The Project Engineer role provides primary support to the Project Manager in the management of one or more project contracts for the operation and acts as the Site Lead for projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Act as a single point of contact for customer(s) managing specific contracts
• Have demonstrable experience in non-destructive testing (NDT)/ structural health monitoring (SHM) site inspection and installation (essential)
• Be accountable for the delivery of the contract within the time and budget allocated
• Create and execute project plans and revise and maintain to achieve agreed deadlines
• Identify, select and manage resources and assigned responsibilities, setting up and calibrating all inspection equipment used in the project
• Apply inspection and testing techniques in accordance with applicable specifications and procedures
• Manage on-site risks and issues associated with project performance
• Interpret and evaluate inspection results and prepare client inspection reports
• Review and approve client inspection reports
• Mentor and train personnel in inspection methods, as required
• Manage and report on day-to-day operational aspects of projects
• Ensure all project-related documents are maintained and kept current
• Undertake site visits as required; some client projects may involve staying away from home for up to one month
• Comply with all appropriate quality, health, safety and environment policies and procedures and keep quality documentation up to date as required by the project
• Must possess a driving licence.
