Welder/Fabricator

• Carry out metal inert gas (MIG) and tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding to fabrication drawings and specifications
• Work on hard-facing/cladding applications (PTA and other deposition processes preferred)
• Fabricate, assemble and weld components accurately and efficiently
• Interpret engineering drawings, welding procedures and inspection requirements
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping
• Work collaboratively with production teams to meet daily and weekly targets
• Follow company and customer-specific welding procedure approvals and specifications (where applicable).

Skills and experience:
Essential:

• Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Competent in MIG and TIG welding processes
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings and welding symbols
• Strong attention to detail and quality focus.

Desirable:

• Experience with PTA, hard-facing/cladding or specialised deposition techniques
• Previous exposure to precision engineered components for critical sectors
• Welding certification (PCN/ Certification Scheme for Personnel (CSWIP)/SFI/non-destructive testing (NDT), where applicable).

• Competitive hourly rates with a salary increase after probation
• £19.07 per hour during a three-month probation
