Sercal has been providing NDT calibration and repair services for over four decades and is ideally located near Birmingham in England to enable quick turnaround times for these services to customers such as Network Rail and large inspection companies in the region.

Sercal is a market leader in the provision of an extensive range of NDT equipment, with the support and calibration services from the group headquarters at Oceanscan Ltd in Aberdeen.

To ensure the quality of its products and services, Sercal is registered with BSI, its quality systems complying with a quality system as identified in BS EN ISO 9001:2015 and Q06321. Sercal is also accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017.

As a supplier of safety-critical products and services to the British Network Rail industry, Sercal is also registered with Link-Up.

Sercal was the first UKAS-accredited calibration laboratory, No 0381, with certification for the calibration of ultrasonic flaw detectors, phased array, ultrasonic thickness gauges, ultrasonic calibration blocks and ultrasonic probes in accordance with the latest national standards, including BS EN ISO 22232-1:2020, BS EN ISO 18563-1:2022, ASTM E317-21, BS EN 15317:2013, ESI 98-9, ESI 98-8, ESI 98-7 and ESI 98-2.

Since 2018, Sercal has also obtained UKAS accreditation for the calibration of ultrasonic test blocks and phased array ultrasonic equipment.

Sercal now offers a wide range of NDT rental equipment and consumable sales, including SREM MPI/DPI inks and a range of penetrants.
