A Cross-Industry Comparison of Optimal NDT Technology Seminar and Burns Supper 2027

Friday 29 January 2027
The Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel, Glasgow, UK

NDT has long been an integral element of the quality and integrity management process across the energy, defence, aerospace and civil engineering industries. The recent advances in sensor technology, instrumentation, real-time computing and AI technology have been reflected by corresponding developments in advanced NDT technology. Although there are multiple NDT technologies common across the sectors, the specific technique implemented, and the extent of qualification, can vary.

These variations can be attributed to the differences in materials, standards, operating conditions and consequences of failure, and as a result, each sector tends to exist in a bubble, resulting in missed opportunities to share experience and ultimately improve our approach to implementing NDT solutions.

This one-day seminar will present and compare the leading NDT technologies currently applied in the main industrial sectors and will be an ideal forum for technology exchange and synergy. It is a fantastic opportunity for anyone working in NDT at any level to gain an understanding of state-of-the-art NDT.

Offers of presentations are now invited. Abstracts (of no more than 200 words) should be submitted with the paper title, presenter’s name and contact details to conf@bindt.org no later than 4 December 2026.

Registration is now open.
