Drivetrain Health Monitoring

Structural Health Monitoring
As offshore wind targets become increasingly ambitious, providers must overcome enormous technological, logistical and financial challenges in the race to deliver secure new installations. SHM helps address these challenges through permanent monitoring of structural ageing and fatigue, of both the tower and foundations. The information generated can then be used to implement a predictive approach to maintenance, extending the operational lifetime of an installation (LTE) and dramatically reducing the levelised cost of energy (LCOE). Blade Health Monitoring
Blade health monitoring reduces sensor and system costs through the easy installation and commissioning of state-of-the-art sensors, which monitor all aspects of any type of rotor blade, including load detection and structural monitoring.

LiTE Monitoring for Lifetime Extension
Bachmann is perfectly positioned to support WTG owners, operators and accredited experts responsible for analytical and practical assessment throughout the LTE process. Working with actual measured load data during the analytical LTE assessment (instead of estimates based on SCADA data) enables load calculation experts to accurately determine remaining service life. With this method, all potential remaining lifetime can be safely and fully exploited, in many cases significantly extending the operational lifetime of the wind turbine compared with conventional LTE assessment.

Remote Monitoring
Bachmann's remote monitoring service utilises economies of scale to provide highly efficient, DNV-certified condition monitoring processes that are supported by accredited quality systems. Bachmann Monitoring takes care of the routine condition monitoring and delivers high-quality diagnostics. The company hosts data, fully commissions systems (including after parts exchanges), screens data for anomalies and provides reports about any detected defects via its ticket system. 

Condition Monitoring Consultancy

A strategic approach to condition monitoring identifies potential cost savings and helps to avoid unforeseen operational downtime. Bachmann Monitoring's CM consultants transform predictive maintenance, lifetime extension (LTE) and levelised cost of energy (LCOE) into tangible benefits and realistic impact on the bottom line.

Vibration Analysis Training

Complete vibration analyst qualifications (Cat 1, 2 or 3) at Bachmann Monitoring's BINDT-approved training centre in Rudolstadt, Germany. Training is carried out in both English and German and in full accordance with ISO 18436. Independent examination takes place on site following the week-long course and successful participants will be entered into the BINDT 'PCN Certified Practitioners in Vibration Analysis' register. Approval from BINDT independently verifies the high quality of training delivered by Bachmann and validates the training centre to global standards.
