Established over 80 years ago, Johnson & Allen Ltd is a market leader in both the design and manufacture of standard and bespoke MPI and DPI solutions. Johnson & Allen also continues to manufacture a range of quality aerosol and bulk consumables, which include magnetic inks, contrast paints, dye penetrants, developers and cleaners. Johnson & Allen now has over 45 years of experience in manufacturing aerosol products and over 80 years in manufacturing bulk products.

Johnson & Allen continues to export globally and supplies a wide range of industries, including aerospace, automotive, rail, oil & gas, military and general engineering. It is a well-established company with a proven track record; previous satisfied customers include companies such as Rolls-Royce, Vector Aerospace, Gulf Air and BAE Systems.

The company is BSI ISO 9001:2015 and Safe Contractor certified and is an associate member of the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (NAMRC). Johnson & Allen is also the oldest UKAS-accredited calibration laboratory (4168) for the calibration of magnetic particle inspection lines, bench units and power packs; it is certified for both in-house and out-of-house calibrations covering outputs up to 10,000 A.

Founded in 1938 by Lawrence Johnson, Johnson & Allen is a professional company but still retains its family feel, a uniqueness that will continue with his granddaughter Melanie Robinson, Managing Director, and his great-grandson Simon Johnson. Supported by an exceptional team, many of whom have been in the company for over 20 years, Johnson & Allen continually strives to improve and innovate.
