Altair Engineering Inspections Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based company providing high-end training, inspection and consultancy services in conventional and advanced NDT. AEI is approved by BINDT as an ATO in ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MT), liquid penetrant testing (PT), radiography film interpretation (RI), ultrasonic phased array (UTPA) and time-of-flight diffraction (TOFD) NDT methods. AEI also offers other training methods such as visual testing (VT) and eddy current testing (ECT) as per company-based written practice. Altair is affiliated to A-Star Training & Consultancy Pvt Ltd, India, which is an ATO and AQB.
In addition to conventional NDT inspection techniques (UT, RT, PT, MT, etc), AEI specialises in providing advanced NDT services such as AUT, PAUT, TOFD, LRUT, tank annular plate, corrosion under insulation (LRUT/pulsed eddy current) and tube testing (ECT, RFET, MFL and IRIS). It also provides integrated corrosion detection solutions using a combination of 3D laser scanning and PAUT based on ASME B31G. AEI is unique because it uses state-of-the-art technology – CIVA 2016 simulation software for UT and ECT (www.extende.com/civa-in-a-few-words) – in the development of NDT inspection techniques in advanced UT and ECT.
AEI develops automatic inspection systems and scanners and supplies high-quality defect specimens (welded and casting) for training, examination and procedure qualification.
