Thermal camera for electrical professionals

18/08/2020

FLIR Systems has introduced the FLIR TG267 thermal camera for electricians, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) technicians, building inspectors and mechanical engineers. This feature-rich addition to the entry-level TG series line offers improved sensitivity and resolution to help professionals dramatically reduce diagnostic time and begin repairs more quickly.

The versatile and rugged FLIR TG267 enables professionals to inspect equipment and identify problems from a safe distance by visualising the hot and cold spots that can indicate larger issues. From electrical connections to mechanical breakdowns within a temperature range of −25°C to +380°C, users can troubleshoot failing systems and then provide customer reports with images that document the repair. The FLIR TG267 adds contact measurement with a type K thermocouple probe for temperature readings.

The FLIR TG267 is built around a 160 × 120 FLIR Lepton thermal sensor and features proprietary image processing algorithms for the highest quality image. FLIR’s patented multi-spectral dynamic imaging (MSX™) dual-camera technology embosses details from the built-in visual camera over full thermal images for added sharpness and perspective.

The FLIR TG267 features a multi-point laser pointer to clearly indicate the area being measured, as well as a bright light-emitting diode (LED) flashlight for working in dark and difficult-to-reach spaces. Bluetooth low-energy (BLE) technology allows users to easily upload images and data to a mobile device for sharing and report generation. The FLIR TG267 stores up to 50,000 images that users can play back on the 2.4" colour display, which is more vibrant and 80% larger than earlier models. With a Li-ion rechargeable battery, the camera operates for up to five hours of continual use.
