AVT Reliability appointed condition-based maintenance partner for Thames Water Utilities

AES Engineering Reliability Group company AVT Reliability Ltd has been selected by Thames Water Utilities Limited as its sole framework supplier for vibration and thermal imaging products and associated software. Thames Water Utilities is the UK’s largest water and wastewater company, serving 15 million customers across London and the Thames Valley.

The award is part of a strategy by Thames Water to achieve cost-effective reliability through condition-based maintenance (CBM) of its critical equipment. To that end, three tenders were issued for three different CBM technologies: vibration, thermography and electrical signature analysis. Thames Water has awarded two of the three categories to AVT Reliability.

Machine Sentry, the condition-based maintenance platform developed by AVT Reliability, was seen to offer the next generation of products and software that would allow Thames Water to focus on modernising the current programmes with greater speed and efficiency, ease of use and cloud-based analysis and reporting tools.

After a highly competitive process, Thames Water announced its chosen vibration and thermal imaging partner in August 2021. AVT Reliability has been awarded a three-year exclusive contract to provide condition monitoring technology and services for Thames Water’s asset management vibration and thermal programmes.
